Message Street racing is stupid. Planned street racing is even more retarded.

That being said....there are "buts"

Like, I don't street race, but this guy in a Porsche 911 turbo had something to prove, so I shut him down from 60-100 on an empty highway.

Or...

I don't street race, but I came across a guy in a Viper who was cool and actually wanted to give me a go.

I never (as in have not yet, and don't plan to) meet anyone at a "strip" to go for a race. If there is noone around, I mean 2 am interstate clear noone, then I'll consider it. I also never race anything not worth my car/license/or death (i.e Civics or Rustangs) and will never race on a city street/suburbia. I don't care if I pull next to a Zonda at a light. But when you think of the risk:

1. Cops - Speeding is one thing, racing is a whole 'nother level as far as their concerned.

2. Other people - You can controll your car all you want, but you can't controll other people

3. Uncertian road conditions - New pothole/oil spill/board in the road is death at 100+ mph.

You are a reasonably intelligent person, so you can make your own educated decision from this and other peoples perspectives.
