bumps up the torque quite a bit with the colder cylinder temperature. And prevents detonation (which is always welcome). However, (aside from the fact that H2O is a product of complete combustion) doesn't the idea of water in your engine make you worry at all? I think that's part of why it hasn't caught on that much, it just doesn't seem right.
