I bought my convertible Z a couple years ago with the intention of doing what we did to it last week, it just took at lot longer to get around to it than I expected. It is still a work in progress but it is at least reality now. All the guys at Z1 worked harder than they ever have last week putting this thing together. We all stayed up spans of 48 hours slept a few hours and went at it again. I am very appreciative to Reuben, Bob, Josh, Robert, John, and Ash who all spent over 80 hours each within 6 days to make it happen.
We built this car in a week. Last Monday we had a shell come back from the body shop, no doors, moldings, trunk, lights, hood, front end, interior, powertrain, etc. We had to assemble a long block from the ground up along with a JDM TD06 20G kit that did not fit a US model without fabrication. We had to custom build all the intake/turbo/intercooler piping, exhaust, fit all body panels, assemble a complete interior, install all new moldings, and on and on. No one else thought we would pull it off. We had to work through a ton of problems that seemed like a dead end but someone always found a creative solution.
I am happy with our results and we did meet our goal of the car making it to NOPI and back under its own power. It may not be for everyone but it is what I wanted. So if you don't like it that's OK, If everyone liked the same thing all our cars would be the same color, same, rims, kit, etc. We built this car partially to show what we can do. The exterior (looks) were the easy part. This car is much more go than show.
We have a little work to do on it before the dyno and are going to catch up on running a business for a few weeks, but expect #'s before long. XXXX

-Z1 short throw shifter
-Nismo 740CC fuel injectors (94+ rail and machined lower plenum)
-Oversize Throttle Bodies
-TT fuel pump (will install a 2nd one soon)
-AshSpec Z1 ECU program (Ash made it before the car was even running at it runs great) will be tuned later.
Exterior

-I-forged Evolution rims 18X8.5 front, 18X12 rear. (We are a distributor for them also)
