I saw the price of these turbos and was impressed because I had a feeling they could make good numbers. Unfortunately, all though the proffesionals have spoken that they have more lag than 2530's and more lag between shifts which I don't want, my goal w/ my Z is mid 400's rwhp. Curious, what's the stock wastegate on a 2530 or sport500's? I'm wondering why the 1420's are having this problem where the spring is too week and needs to be changed to something heavier. Also, w/ regards to wastegates, someone educate me please. I know that the wastegate opens once the turbo reaches the specific amount of boost it's designed for and then opens so that way it doesn't overspool the turbo correct? so if one has 14psi springs, isn't the whole point of a boost controller to override the wastegate opening?
