people think. If its your car and you are happy with thats all that matters.. I am very open to liking other cars maybe I am just simply a car nut. I like alot of different cars. Just not Honda's to much unless its an NSX. As far as cars being faster then others. Most cars are close enough in performance that driver error will be the limiting factor. How many times have you heard Wolf talk about how he has never seen Supra go better than 13's in the 1/4 mile track. Yet according to those Supra Owners they have 400RWHP? I like Toyota Supras I especially like the flared rear bumpers, but the front looks a little long. But others think that a Supra looks like a Dildo or a Hyundai Tiburon. And some even think a 300ZX looks like a Saturn. But looks are all a matter of opinion. As far as pure engine performance. The 300ZX had a Sticker price of about 40-42K. The Toyota Supra had a Sticker price of 60K. So which car do you think is going to have bigger turbos, injectors, and intercoolers? Yes I give up that the Supra can make more power mainly because you can raise the turbo boost higher. But I could do a lot with that 18K-20K to my Z. And with bigger Intercoolers and injectors (which are a Z's biggest limiting factor) you can hit over 400RWHP (thats without NOS). Here is the proof. 
But the idea/myth that Supra can be modded for cheaper money I don't buy it. A BPU Supra is like a Stage V. I have posted about this before. And if I owned a Supra I wouldn't not cheap out on the cost of mods.. Gyro from DSP had a very good case on this on the Supra forums itself he actually ran 11's on a 300ZX with less than 2K or so invested.
So what does the Z have that is better than a Supra? Well the biggest I think that it feels sportier. Mainly because the suspension is soft on a Supra and sequential turbo setup. It has a longer hertiage than the Supra .. But does that really matter? It costs less to buy a Z versus a Supra. I would say in my opinion that the 300ZX has better lines and interior than the Supra. And for many thats the reason to buy it. Its looks! I am sorry if someone had a 7.9 Civic I would give the guy credit and respect for making his car go so fast. But I still wouldn't buy it for myself. The looks of the car are very important to me. Because you can see the car all day while in contrast you can't really drag race it all day. Remember for many a sports car is a prized possesion and they don't really race it. And love the stock look and never even put on single performance mod on it. Best example of this is a Corvette C5 owner.
But let me close in saying treat other people's car like you would like your car to be treated. Act like a jerk and talk alot of shit and all you find is that everyone is going to want and kick your ass.. Hmmm like someone who is on your hitlist :-)
