I have an ACPT CF driveshaft for sale. Brand new, I bought it and it's for a 2+2 and I have a 2 seater so I'm having to resell it. Benefits:
- Much lighter than stock. This weighed 5-7 kgs from memory and my stock one weighed 12 kgs. A 2+2 driveshaft must weight around 15 kgs, so that's 50% lighter, that's huge considering this thing is what has to spin to tranfer power. Can translate to about 5% more power.
- 3 times torsional strength of steel
- Less shock on the differential
- Dampens high speed vibrations - This is a big one. CF has some flex, so you won't have a drone at a certain rev range unlike steel which can hit harmonics where it vibrates.
- If it breaks (it's built to take 2000 hp, so it shouldn't), it won't come through cockpit like a steel one can, ripping the driver apart. It just splinters like a broom. The car still stops but you're alive. That said, it's much less likely to break than a steel one anyway.
- The Torsional Spring Rate provides better control out of corners, better tyre grip and smoother shifting. Specs (check these, will ONLY fit this type of 300ZX unless you plan to do your own mods): Must be a 2+2, Twin Turbo, Manual. 
Price: $1000 (AUD) + shipping. This is about $750USD-$800USD at the moment. I just want $1000AUD, so if you buy from me on a good day it could be a real bargain for you. The Australian dollar is hurting at the moment. Obviously I'm in Australia and shipping to the US will vary by location, but as a guide CA will be about $100AUD, NY/Miami about $125AUD, anywhere else about $150AUD.
