Before you read any further... These turbos need to be rebuilt. they burn significant oil. Now then, the turbos have about 10-12k miles on them and due to some major boost leaks, have been pushed too hard to produce 14psi and have started to smoke. They are not yet out of the car, so the exact condition is still unknown. They sound fine, so the shaft play should be normal. they should only need new seals and bearings. I will have the motor out of the car within the next couple of weeks.
I easily put down about 400 whp with these at about 14psi and a very safe 12.1 afr tune, and could just as easily see 500+ with high boost on a completely stock motor. as most know, these are capable of 600 hp. I am considering selling because since i will have the motor out and the turbos off, i might as well consider upgrading for more power. These turbos were not pushed hard on a daily basis, most of the time i just go for easy cruises. I have only raced them on occasion and they have boosted great every time. They still boost fine, they just blow a lot of smoke (burned oil smoke). So, if there is any interest in these, please shoot me an email and let me know. IF i were to sell these, i would need about 1500 for them to help cover the cost of a new setup. A rebuild will probably cost you around 4-500 dollars. so for around 2000, you essentially have brand new jwt sport 600s. AMZ sells these for 2300 + a 500 core charge for your stockers. If i dont get any offers, i will simply have these rebuilt and continue to use them.
