I bought this car in June last year with a blown engine off a lady. When I got the car all the timing belt covers were a little melted and the radiator and such was already taken outta the car. The lady who sold it to me told me she bought it off an auction and that this car was used as an undercover cop car here in Springfield, MA. Well right as the car arrived my house, me and a friend who also had a 93 TT started taking the engine out and all accesories, so I can have the engine bay painted because it was 3 different colors. Right after that I bought a JDM Engine with 28K miles for it and I started buying all the parts I wanted for it. Well when my engine came in, we quickly found that the turbos were bad and that the guys don't warranty the turbos, but i decided to keep buying parts and not give up. Then I was having huge problems with one of the vendors that took my money and wouldn't send my parts for months and instead of getting them in august i got them sometime in october, so I decided to put the car together this year instead of last year. Well basically that was the end of it because I bought myself a DSM(Money Pit) for the winter and I'm going to an institute right now and I need to somehow pay for it. The car was garaged for the whole winter and I took it out in April of this year and since then it's been sitting with a cover on it. Well basically the car is pretty much stripped right now as far as interior and engine bay goes, before we put the car away we installed a brand new EFI Engine Harness into it ($375+Shipping)and painted the engine bay with 99 Aston Martin Silver($500) and the car itself has Bilstein shocks already installed in it, the front tires on the car are also brand new. The bad things about the car is that it has a Reconstructed Title, carfax tells me the car was in an accident back in 96, but all the body lines seem relatively straight to me. Another bad thing is that the car was painted 3 times and the last paintjob was a cheap Maaco paintjob that they just sprayed over, so when you take the T-tops off or open the doors you can see the other 2 layers of paint, not very pretty. The car will come with every single part I have for the car and all the mods still in boxes: JDM Engine w/ 28k Miles $1850 Noltec Urethane Engine Mounts $200 JWT Stage 3 ECU $600 JWT Pop Charger Intake $110 Brand New EFI Wiring Harness(Installed) $375 Bilstein Shocks(Installed) $480 AMZ 2.5" Downpipes & Testpipes $400 HKS 2.5"Hi-Power Cat Back $580 Red Unorthodox Under Drive Pulley $200 Red Powdercoated Balance Tubes $50 NGK PFR6B-11B Colder Range Spark Plugs $80 Koyo Radiator $380 CZP Radiator Bracket $90 245/45/17 Sumitomo HTRZ II Tires(For the rims on the car) $170 New OEM Black Shift Knob $60 New E-Brake Boot $50 New Carpets $65 Nismo Pilot Bushing $20 Redline MT-90 Transmission Fluid $30 Redline 75W90 Rear Differential Fluid $20 Redline Power Steering Fluid $25 A bunch of other little OEM parts $100 H3 Sylverstar Fog Bulbs $35 You will also get: The Blown Engine with all the parts that were on it, I stripped it a little to dig down to one side of the block to look at the pistons, otherwise I have all the parts Stock TT rims with good Nitto tires on them 1990 Non-Airbag style Steering wheel 2 inch thick repair manual And all other misc parts you might need. Well basically here you have yourself a mid 12's car with around 415hp@15psi, my friend that had the 93 TTZ ran a 13.3@108 on street tires, stock slipping clutch and worse parts then I have, plus it was his 2nd time at the track. The parts that this car will need is: Rebuilt Stock turbos or used ones off forums or ebay (Rebuilt-$1000-$1250, $300-$400 used) A good clutch to hold the power( I recommend an RPS Sport Street $380) A Lightweight Flywheel(+15-20 hp) or you can just resurface the stocker ( Also RPS $425) Underdrive Pulley Belts ($35) And things I would reccomend buying for it:
Colder thermostat(Billion or Nismo) - To keep the engine running cooler ($55 for Nismo or $109 for Billion) Some Stiff transmission mounts from SPL - Better power transfer and shifting is more direct ($79) Maybe some Differential bushings - To reduce wheel hop and gain more traction on launch (Depends what ones you want $50-$150) EGR Bypass - I took the EGR off the JDM Engine because I didn't think it was needed, you can just bolt it back on or buy the EGR bypass kit ($45) Lower Radiator Hardpipe - The stock pipe is rubber and can break under high speeds causing engine overheating and other problems, you wont have this problem with this hardpipe ($80) Boost Controller or Boost jets - If you want to run more boost then stock ($5-$10 for boost jets or pay more for Controller if you have $$) I think thats it as far as details go, for anything else just contact me. I want $4800 or BO for everything. Whoever is interested I might be able to have my friend work on the car for you for a cheap price if you're a local of course, or I might let you store the car in my yard until it's finished, but there are rules and restrictions of course. I am really looking for local buyers because I do not want to ship the car unless you want to arrange that yourself. If any of you out there are interested email me or call me at (413)530-6368, my name is Dmitriy btw. Ask me for any more pics. Thanks for looking and spread the word!
